Are you an experienced service provision manager in the field of (or closely related to) children and young person's care? If so then read on, as this may be just the role for you...

Our client is a one of the leading social care providers in Merseyside and Greater Manchester - with operations across Liverpool, Sefton, Bolton and beyond. They are a not-for-profit organisation offering a range of social care services, both to adults with complex needs and to children & young people transitioning out of care.

They are seeking an experienced service manager (i.e. someone with demonstrable management experience within the young person's care arena) to take on the critical role of Business Development & Service Manager, taking overall responsibility for the charity's children and young people's services across multiple sites.

The successful candidate will assume responsibility for several, currently non-registered services, providing supported living for young people aged around 15-17 years who are transitioning out of care. You will steer the process of Ofsted registration for these services, addressing and resolving all and any issues which may present barriers to this. Moreover, a core part of the role will be to build out from these existing services and seek to secure contracts for, establish and deliver new services in the children's and young people space.

You will have ultimate responsibility for service quality, staffing, budgeting and all other operational matters.

  • Together with the Director of Operations and SMT, ensuring systems/processes are in place such that staff receive required levels of training and development, and that this is continually tracked and recorded

  • Assisting the Director of Operations in managing the use of resources allocated to the charity’s various operational units

  • Taking part in and assisting with the management of the on-call rota and system, including carrying out shifts within the services in emergency situations

The successful candidate will meet some or all of the following requirements:
